Aleppo soap is the oldest of all soaps and is the ancestor of Marseille soap.
It is a natural soap made up of very few ingredients: olive oil, bay laurel oil, water and soda.
Laurel berry oil is known for its purifying, astringent and disinfectant properties. Olive oil hydrates and nourishes the skin.
Aleppo soap can be used by the whole family, even babies. It is suitable for all skin types and particularly for sensitive or problem skin (eczema or psoriasis for example). Aleppo soap unclogs pores and eliminates the sebum responsible for blackheads and pimples. Also, bay laurel oil has antiseptic properties and blocks the growth of acne-causing bacteria.
Aleppo soap can be used as a body wash. As a shampoo, it helps fight dandruff. It can also be used as a shaving foam.
The colour of the soap is between yellow and brown on the outside and emerald green on the inside. This colour difference is due to the fact that the surface of the soap oxidises during drying.
To store your soap, leave it in a dry place.
